Loan Information

Student loans are ways of financing your graduate and professional education and often have the option to defer payment until after you have completed your program.

There are four types of student loans that the University of St. Thomas offers to graduate and professional students:

• Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loans 
  (available to degree-seeking students only)
• Federal Direct Graduate PLUS Loans 
  (available to degree-seeking students only)
• Federal Direct Subsidized Loans 
  (available only to licensure students in the School of Education)
• Private Educational Loans
  (available to degree-seeking and certificate-seeking students)
