Housing for Current & Returning Students​

Please remember that as a first-year student beginning in Fall 2021, you will be required to live on campus for your second year. We guarantee space in our residence halls on campus for all current first-year students going into their second year.

Housing for 2022-23

For the 2022-23 academic year, we will be offering a few different processes:

  • Current first-year students are required to live on campus as part of the Two-Year Residency Requirement. You will have the opportunity to choose a roommate/s if you want and participate in our online housing self-selection process. Below you will find a general timeline for when you will receive housing information and select your room for the 2022-2023 academic year.
    • Mid-to-late October– Students will receive an email with a more detailed timeline and information about the Housing Lottery and Selection Processes. Second-Year Housing options including Second-Year Living Learning Communities will also be announced at this time. Information will also be sent home to families.
    • November through March– Information sessions regarding housing selection and tours of apartment and residence hall spaces will be available. The process to apply for an exception will be available in the housing portal.
    • Early April, after spring break– Housing Selection Lottery times are generated and Housing Self-Selection occurs.
  • Current Sophomores, Juniors or Seniors, NOT required to live on campus as part of the Two-Year Residency Requirement will have an opportunity to participate in an early or regular housing selection process. Here is information that was sent via e-mail to returning students currently living on campus:
    • Communications, Information Sessions and Tours:
      • By the end of October – All students will receive an email with a more detailed timeline about the Housing Application, Lottery, and Selection Processs. Available housing locations will also be announced at this time and information will be sent home to families.
      • November through February – Information sessions and tours will be available for students
    • EARLY Housing Reapplication, Lottery, and Selection Process:
      • November 8 EARLY Housing Reapplication opens for Upper Division Student Housing Selection (current second-year, junior and senior students)
      • December 10 – Deadline to apply for EARLY Upper Division Student Housing Selection
      • December 13 – Selection times sent to students based on lottery process
      • December 14 Early Upper Division Student Housing Selection begins (students self-select into their hall and room, and can select/pull in roommate/s)
    • REGULAR Housing Reapplication, Lottery, and Selection Process:
      • January 31 REGULAR Housing Reapplication opens for Upper Division Student Housing Selection
      • February 25 – Deadline to apply for REGULAR Upper Division Student Housing Selection
      • March 1 – Selection times sent to students based on lottery process
      • March 2 REGULAR Upper Division Student Housing Selection begins (students who selected housing in the EARLY process will not be able to participate in this process, BUT students who applied and DID NOT select may still participate)
