Violence Prevention

Violence Prevention works to decrease the number of people in our community who experience interpersonal violence, which includes sexual assault, harassment, dating and domestic violence and stalking.

We work to empower every member of the St. Thomas community to play an active role in violence prevention and increase individuals' ability to respond compassionately to victim/survivors of sexual violence.

Within Violence Prevention, we believe that every member of the St. Thomas community should experience a life free from any form of sexual and/or relationship violence. That’s why we’re focused on:

  • Decreasing the number of people in our community who experience sexual and/or relationship violence.
  • Facilitating workshops on healthy masculinity, bystander intervention, and healthy relationships.
  • Increasing the ability of all members of our community to respond compassionately to victim/survivors of sexual violence, dating & domestic violence and stalking.
  • Empowering members of the St. Thomas community to play an active role in violence prevention.
