Apply to Clinic for Spring 2019

October 3, 2018

Go beyond learning to think like a lawyer – learn to BE a lawyer.  Clinics give rising 2nd and 3rd year law students the chance to practice in a wide variety of areas under the supervision of skilled attorney professors.  Serve the common good and build your skills and confidence in your professional role.

WHAT CLINICS ARE OFFERED IN SPRING?

Catholic Social Thought and the United Nations, Community Justice Project, Consumer Bankruptcy, Criminal and Juvenile Defense, Elder Law and Guardianship Alternatives, Immigration Law Practice Group, Religious Liberty Appellate, and Trademark. Fall 2019 and year-long clinics will have a separate application process in the spring.

WHO CAN APPLY?

Legal Clinics are open to rising 2Ls and 3Ls. Catholic Social Thought and the United Nations is also open to LLM and MA in Catholic Studies students. JD students may take more than one clinic during their time at UST. Generally, preference for most clinics will be given to 3Ls who have not taken clinic in the past. Strong interest in a particular clinic demonstrated by a previous application will also be considered. Students who enroll in a clinic may be given the opportunity by their supervising faculty member to enroll in the advanced section of that clinic in subsequent semesters.

HOW DO I APPLY?

Clinic enrollment is only through the clinic application process. If you are not selected for a clinic through this process, you will not be able to enroll in a clinic.

APPLY NOW

Applications are due October 17th at Noon. Late applications will not be accepted.
