About Social Work Services

The Social Work Clinic offers comprehensive social work services to all of the Interprofessional Center's clients. These services are provided by undergraduate and graduate students in the School of Social Work, under the supervision of the Center's director of social work services.

Targeted Case Management

Social Work Services works in conjunction with Legal Services and Counseling Services to provide comprehensive case management to clients enrolled in these programs. Our case managers have extensive knowledge on a variety of issues affecting our clients, including housing, transportation, food support, advocacy, and connections to ESL, job training, and other education programs. In addition, the case manager provides much-needed emotional support to clients embroiled in difficult legal or psychological issues. Home visitations are available to persons in nursing homes and assisted living facilities, or to the homebound.

Psychotherapy

Trained and supervised social work students offer several types of therapy, including:

  • Individual psychotherapy
  • Family psychotherapy
  • Group psychotherapy

**Counseling Services are primarily operating remotely via telehealth.
