An Avid Gamer with A Head For Business
Enzo Vinholi ’21 is using virtual reality to change lives with his company, Like It Was Yesterday. His company designs and implements VR programs for senior citizens living in nursing homes and assisted living communities, allowing seniors to travel virtually without ever leaving their homes.
When Vinholi came to St. Thomas, Like It Was Yesterday was just an idea. Schulze School of Entrepreneurship Associate Dean Laura Dunham said, “I saw a kid who was creative, who was determined, who was a go-getter, and I immediately did what I do when I meet young entrepreneurs at St. Thomas. I said, ‘How can I help you?’”
That support has ranged from participating in the Freshman Innovation Immersion program to using office space in Schulze Hall to adding significant software developments – such as 360-degree audio – to the company’s VR tours.
“We have the opportunity to redesign the way we experience our memories. Mentors like Laura Dunham and my professors have been able to strategically guide me and grow this thing to all it can be,” Vinholi said.
