Hello! My name is Joshua Crespo, and I have recently graduated from Cristo Rey Jesuit High School. I will be attending the University of St. Thomas and will be part of the class of 2020! I was part of the National Honor Society, a member of the Student Government, an active participant as a Student Ambassador, and was a Retreat Leader (Ignite). Providing service to others is something I love to do. When I heard about this research program involving helping first-generation college students and inspiring the future generations, I said, “Count me in!” I not only wanted to serve in this amazing group, but I also wanted to obtain new skills in reading, writing, and communications. The research allowed me to feel more comfortable with how I spoke, and I felt more inspired from the different tasks we had to do for the research. I am planning on majoring in biology, and I would then go to medical school to become a doctor. Joining the Together Possible team was absolutely amazing. There were great people with outstanding personalities, which always put a smile on my face every morning. I am thrilled about what the future holds for each of us and for the next era of students after us. As a first-generation college student, I want to be able to support those who go through the same situation as me. Have a blessed day, everyone!
