What role will music play in your college experience and beyond? Join us for a day of musicking* and exploration.

On Friday, April 28th, the Department of Music is hosting a visit day for you to explore the role of music in your life after high school. Whether you want to pursue music as a major or minor, pursue another major while taking lessons or participating in an ensemble, or if your musical journey is unknown, these activities are for you!

What is Musicking?

Musicking encompasses all the processes of making music within a communit - to express, to connect, to embrace your role in something bigger than yourself.

Tentative Schedule

9 a.m. Meet and greet featuring student performances by current students
10 a.m. Breakout sessions

a) Service through music at St. Thomas

b) Preparing for college, the academics and the audition

11:15 a.m. Mindful awareness in managing performance anxiety
12:30 p.m. Lunch featuring Q&A with current students
1:30 p.m. Community music making
