Oct. 11, 2021: COVID-19 Cases Update

Dear St. Thomas students, faculty and staff,

Thank you for your continued cooperation with our COVID-19 mitigation protocols. Case numbers so far remain manageable, but we are currently watching a cluster of positive cases at the St. Paul Seminary School of Divinity (SPSSOD) on the university's South Campus.

Four of last week's 19 campus-wide positive test results were within SPSSOD. Additional positive test results within SPSSOD came in over the weekend and will be reported in next week's dashboard. Isolation procedures are being followed for anyone who tests positive; additionally, any unvaccinated members of SPSSOD who have been in close contact with a positive case are quarantining.

Please note we are still not seeing any evidence of classroom or lab transmission at St. Thomas. We encourage everyone to remain vigilant in following protocols, including wearing face coverings in indoor public spaces when others are present, and staying home if you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms.

For more information, please visit our COVID-19 cases dashboard.

Thank you for your attention.
