At St. Thomas, you’ll learn a lot in class—no question. But an enormous amount of learning happens outside of coursework. Study abroad, do an internship, or join a student club. Living Learning Communities (LLCs)

LLCs are specialized living environments that help connect students in and out of the classroom. Each LLC is unique, but all are centered on an academic area of interest or theme. Live-in Residence Life staff and the faculty who teach the LLC courses provide programming, one-on-one support, and various co-curricular opportunities to enhance the learning that happens in the classroom. When you enroll in an LLC, you can expect a smoother academic and social transition to college.

    Service Learning

Business 200 (BUSN 200) is a service learning course required for all undergraduate business students. Students complete 40 hours of volunteer service in the community and reflect on what they’ve learned in a series of in-class discussions. Through this experience, students gain valuable skills and an enhanced understanding of social issues, which strengthens their development as effective and principled business leaders.
